Answers:

  • What does this program cost me? Back to top
This program is FREE to participate in. We pay all costs. We provide FREE collection / shipping boxes and mailing bags. All materials have pre-paid shipping labels attached for easy return.
  • Can I receive more information in the mail? Back to top
Why wait for days to receive information in the mail when everything you need to get started recycling is available on our web site TODAY? If you do not find enough information in either this portion of our site or in the Participant Area of our site, please do not hesitate to contact us with any question you might have. We will be glad to help you!
  • What types of cartridges and phones do you accept? Back to top
We accept inkjet, laser, fax, and printer cartridges. All cartridges sent to us must be manufactured by their Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and must also be new (i.e. never recycled before) and unbroken. If a cartridge is broken or if it has already been remanufactured, we cannot recycle it. For a complete list of the types of cartridges and cell phones we are currently accepting, please see our Current Price List.
  • How do I send the cartridges to you? Back to top
Once you have your supplies you may ship at any time. For boxes, simply seal the boxes and ship using the shipping label attached to the top of the box. Directions are printed on the box. For mailable bag shipments, simple place the cartridges or phones in the bag and seal it. Send the bag out with your normal outgoing mail, or drop in any USPS mailbox.
  • How can you identify my shipment? Back to top
We have our baga and boxes manufactured with unique barcode numbers on them. When we send the supplies out we record these numbers as belonging to your account. When we receive shipments, we scan the barcode and enter the details of what was received. See our barcodes on the supplies.
  • How many cartridges can I send in one shipment? Back to top
Through the use of our unique bag program, you can send in as little as one item at a time. With our boxes you can send in ten or more items per box. There is no minimum or maximum requirements to this program. We have organizations who send in only one cartridge at a time and others who send tens of thousands of them on pallets.
  • How do I get paid? Back to top
Upon receipt of your cartridges, we inspect to make sure that they can be recycled. A cartridge cannot be recycled if it is broken, if it has already been remanufactured, or if it is a compatible cartridge. We will pay you for the cartridges that can be recycled according to the price(s) listed on our web site at the time your cartridge shipment is received. Each weekend we combine all of the shipments from your account processed the previous week and post the details on our website.
  • How soon will I receive my check? Back to top
On the 15th of every month we issue checks for items checked in during the prebious month. You can always see the status of your payments and check history in our participant area.
  • How do I know if my cartridge is remanufactured, compatible or new/OEM? Back to top
Under U.S. Copyright Law, a remanufactured or compatible cartridge cannot have the brand name or logo displayed on the cartridge or, if the brand name or logo are displayed, an accompanying sticker must also be displayed which lets the buyer know that this cartridge was not made by the OEM. The best way to know if your cartridge qualifies is to look for a sticker on the cartridge which indicates whether it is an OEM cartridge or not. Unfortunately, we cannot recycle nor can we pay for cartridges we have previously been recycled or were not manufactured by their OEM.
  • How can your program benefit my charity? Back to top
It's easy - Encourage your donors/supporters to sign up for our program. Once your account is setup we provide you with a website and signup form for participants to sign up to benefit your charity. The vast majority of people like the idea of supporting a charity while they recycle. All you have to do is encourage them to sign up using your website link!
